Serving
If you’d like to serve, please talk to Dave Smith or ask at the Like To Know More table.
When we serve, it’s our worship. In fact, the bible says ‘Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord’ (Col 3:23). So let’s turn up on time, with a glad heart and do it to the best of our abilities.
If you’re not sure what to do and when, here’s all the info you need.
Each service has a Service Contact – either Dave Smith, Laura Scott or Luke Ellis – who oversees everything. So if you have any questions, just ask!
Set-up
We're 100% reliant upon and thankful for the amazing people who show up early to set things up and stay late to pack things down. It's a lot of lifting, shifting and moving boxes and equipment, so you need to have a bit of stamina for it!
Start time: 2pm
Finish: When the service is over and everything’s packed down.
Welcome
We want to treat everyone we serve as if they are Jesus. The welcome team greet everyone, help new people find someone to talk to, and are generally lovely and welcoming!
Start time: 2:45 pm to pray
Finish: 15 minutes after service begins
Hospitality
If it wasn't for hospitality team we'd be a thirsty, hungry bunch of people! This lovely team are responsible for serving tea, coffee and nice tasty things to us on a Sunday.
Start time: 2.45pm (before service)
Finish time: 6.30pm (after service)
Crèche
We have a fantastic team of crèche workers who provide fun and Bible teaching for our wonderful 0-3 year olds!
Start time: 2:45 pm
Finish: When the service is over and everything’s packed away.
NB. You must have an up-to-date CRB form to volunteer for crèche. If you’d like to ask about applying for one, email us at childrenswork@revelationchurch.org.uk
Kidswork (4-7s)
We absolutely love our kidsworkers, because they do a brilliant job teaching Biblical truths to the kids in a fun, engaging way - and they seem to have a lot of fun along the way!
Arrive for set up: 2:30pm. The kidswork session lasts from 4pm until 5:30pm.
Finish: When the service is over and everything’s packed in the boxes.
NB. You must have an up-to-date CRB form to volunteer for kidswork. If you’d like to ask about applying for one, email us at childrenswork@revelationchurch.org.uk.
Kids Club! (8-12s)
This bunch of crazy people put on an amazing session of whacky games, fantastic teaching and general fun every Sunday, for church kids and children in the area!
Arrive for set up: 2:30pm. The kidswork session lasts from 4pm until 5:30pm.

PA & Sound
When the equipment's been brought in by the set-up team, it's up to the PA team to make sure everything's up and running so we can hear the band and the speakers!
Start time: 2pm

Words/Projector
If it wasn't for the words person, we'd be at a loss during songs - this job helps us know what words to sing! There's great training provided so you don't have to know any software beforehand.
Start time: 3pm
Finish: When the service is over and everything’s packed away.
Praise Team
We have an awesome group of people who help us to sing worship every Sunday. If you can play an instrument well and love Jesus, this might be the place for you!
Start time: 2.30pm

Book stall
We have a book stall twice a month where we can buy some great books before and after the service. We love having these resources, and it's all down to the bookstall team to make it happen!
